Hello, this site is about stuff that I make, from the ideas that I have. Welding, bending and the grinding of metal are my avenues of expression.

I am a resident here in Oskaloosa, Iowa. Just another town named after some Indian from the past. In the middle of our country, west of the Mississippi and north of mild winters.

Actually, it's about an hour southeast of Des Moines, Iowa on Highway 163.

When I create, I think about it, measure it, and build it, once the idea is visible in my head. I make garden sculptures that can be enjoyed from you’re window all year long.

I reach to communicate an idea.

The sculpture in the picture to the right is 10’ tall and was built in 2005. It stands in front of the, “McGrew Fine Arts” center on the grounds of William Penn University here in Oskaloosa, Iowa. Sue (Ferguson) Van Wyk drew the original picture of the design in an art class at William Penn. I was commissioned to design and build the sculpture from that drawing.

Please click the tabs on the left to see my other pages and learn more about me and my art. I usually sell my metal pieces at art shows here in Iowa and in the surrounding states. The “Upcoming Shows” link for 2008 has been updated and I will add more shows throughout the summer.

Last update was 07/18/08

Drop me an e-mail or call me. I can help you own a Bent Thought. To all my previous customers, as the summer arrives I encourage you to send me a picture of the piece(s) you purchased from me. I am always happy and interested to see where you placed you're Bent Thought.
